This recall involves temperature sensors installed in Jacuzzi® J-200, J-300, J-400 and J-500 collection hot tubs and Sundance® Spas 680, 780, 880 and 980 Series spas manufactured between July 29, 2021, and Feb 9, 2022

The Hazard!

The temperature sensor can relay incorrect water temperatures and cause the water to be hotter than the set temperature.

Potential Risk of injury (heat stroke) and thermal burns.

What to do...

Recall Complete (March 2024).

Follow the direction stated in our User Manual and test the temperature of the spa water with an accurate thermometer before entering your hot tub to avoid a scalding risk. It is advisable to continue to do so even after your new temperature sensor has been installed.  DO NOT enter the spa if water temperatures exceed 40ºC.

Consumers should contact Spa World New Zealand or Sundance Spas to schedule a free repair.
