The Hazard!
White craft sand ('Sugar') used on the earrings has been independently recalled by the supplier citing asbestos contamination, potentially leading to asbestos contamination on the earrings.
While the craft sand has been baked onto the clay and then stuck on with resin, reducing the possibility of asbestos fibers becoming airborne, a hazard remains from potential asbestos contamination on the product.
What to do...
Stop wearing them.
Place them in a sealed bag or container. Place that bag into a second plastic bag and seal securely with tape.
