The Hazard!
BRP AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is recalling the MY2026 Can-Am Spyder RT and F3 because the vehicle's dashboard display may stop working correctly, freeze, restart, or go blank due to a software communication issue (depending on driver usage of USB and Bluetooth connections).
An inoperative or frozen instrument cluster will fail to display critical safety information, including vehicle speed and warning telltales. Additionally, during a cluster reset, turn signals and hazard lights will temporarily deactivate or fail to respond. These conditions reduce the driver's awareness of vehicle status and limit the ability of surrounding road users to recognize the driver’s intent, increasing the risk of a crash.
What to do...
Owners should update the instrument cluster software as soon as possible. The update is free of charge and can be installed using the vehicle's over-the-air (OTA) update system, or by booking an appointment with an authorised BRP Can-Am dealer.
The software update became available on September 16, 2026 and will take less than an hour to complete.
