The Hazard!

Electrical capacitors C778 and C779 housed within the bass module may crack and fail under stress to the electrical board, such as when it is twisted or bent.

Such stress can cause cracking and failure, either immediately or after repetitive stress over time.

If the electrical capacitors C778 and C779 crack and fail while the unit is plugged into an electrical outlet, a short circuit can be created that causes excessive heating in the module and may lead to a potential thermal incident that could result in the product igniting and melting or creating a fire hazard.

What to do...

Immediately stop using the module and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Visit: https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/support/bm_safety_service.html for instructions on how to return your affected bass module for repair free of charge.

Obtain further information at https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/support/bm_safety_service.html or by telephone on 0800 501 511.
