The Hazard!

Tuozhu Technology Limited have recalled the Bambu Lab A1 3D printers sold at Mindkits NZ from 8 /11/2023 to 27/1/2024.

The heatbed cable in affected printers can be damaged if bent during shipping or as installed. This can cause a short-circuit and spark or burn through the insulation layer, resulting in electric shock or a fire.

What to do...

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled 3D printers, and email a1recall@bambulab.com to arrange a remedy under the Consumer Guarantees Act of either:
(1) return of their A1 3D printers for a full refund,
or
(2) for free replacement of the heatbed and cable by a local electronics repair facility.

Consumers requesting a full refund will be sent a prepaid shipping label to return the printer.
