ARB New Zealand (trading as ARB 4X4 Accessories) is recalling these mounting brackets as there is a risk that the connecting bull bar may detach from the vehicle and cause property damage or serious injury.
Use on corrugated roads could lead to the mounting brackets becoming loose and rattling. If the issue is not identified over time, the bar could detach from the vehicle.
This is a voluntary recall following a single incident that occurred overseas under corrugated road operating conditions. As a precaution, ARB 4X4 Accessories is installing improved mounting brackets to mitigate any potential future risk and ensure continued product performance and reliability.
What to do...
If your vehicle is used on corrugated roads, you should stop using the vehicle in these conditions immediately.
If you haven't already been contacted directly, consumers who purchased Summit MKII bar should contact their nearest ARB 4X4 Accessories retailer to arrange for the replacement of the bull bar mounting brackets free of charge.
