The Hazard!
KTM Motorcycle Distributors NZ Limited is recalling the APEX PRO 7117 Steering Damper Kit.
The steering damper can come loose at the mounting adapter.
If the steering damper comes loose, the rider may lose steering control which could lead to an accident, resulting in serious injury or death to the rider, passenger, other road users or pedestrians.
What to do...
Stop using the motorcycle (Steering Damper) until the recall action has been performed by an authorised dealer.
Owners should contact either your selling dealer or an authorised KTM dealer to make an appointment to have the Safety Recall performed free of charge in accordance with KTM campaign requirement.

The dealer has been instructed to apply thread locker agent to the steering damper area for the mounting adapter. (This requires removal from the vehicle to undertake the task).
