The Hazard!
Certain 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-800 Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) motors/blowers manufactured between September 2024 and April 2025 may contain a component that could cause them to not conform to their Intrinsic Safety (IS) rating.
For localized or acute incidental exposures to concentrations above the LEL, affected TR-800 PAPRs may increase the risk of ignition of these atmospheres if the pin assembly overheats.

3M™ Versaflo™ TR-802E Powered Air Purifying Respirator Motor/Blower Advisory Notice
Please follow the steps below to determine if you have affected product:
- Locate the adhesive label on the bottom of the TR-802E PAPR motor/blower housing with the product serial number (see User Advisory Notice for images)
- Determine if the product serial number is one of the products affected. (See Appendix A in User Advisory Notice).
