The Hazard!
There is a risk that the backboard could separate from the supporting pole, and potentially cause an injury.
This is related to a possible quality issue, on some units, with the weld connecting the backboard to the supporting pole.
While no injuries have been reported, Russell Australia has decided to do precautionary recall in Australia/NZ.
What to do...
Stop using the product and contact Russell Australia to organise to return it.
Russell Australia will offer either a replacement basketball system of equivalent or better specification including delivery and installation, or a refund, and will also cover the cost of returning of the product to them.
