If vehicle is using cruise control, an electrical short in CAN-C Bus system during positive torque may cause the PCM to be locked which may result in the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possible accelerating.
What to do...
If this happens, customer should select neutral and apply the brakes to stop the vehicle. We recommend customers not to use their cruise control function until vehicle has been remedied.
