The Hazard!

The seatbelts can fail to protect the user in a car crash. Failure or poor performance of a seatbelt in a car crash can result in serious injury or death. These BVL seatbelts are non-compliant and can cause your car to fail its next warrant.

What to do...

Check your seatbelts - if a seatbelt label displays BVL and either Changzhou BWD or Jiang Su Jiu Jiu on it then the seatbelt needs to be replaced. Contact Business Ventures Limited (BVL) or your place of purchase for a free replacement seatbelt. If the affected belts are fitted to passenger seats do not use those seats and if an affected belt is fitted to the driver’s seat; NZTA advise not to drive the vehicle.
