Potentially affected vehicles sold at Polaris dealers from October 2017 to September 2018 Polaris model year 2018 RANGER 500 Off road side by side utility vehicle.
The Hazard!
Some 2018 Ranger 500 vehicles may have been manufactured with an improperly welded front lower control arm.
There is a risk that the control arm could separate from the strut mount, affecting the steering of the vehicle and posing a potential crash hazard.
What to do...
Stop operating the vehicle and contact your Polaris dealer to schedule an appointment to have inspection and repair completed where necessary.
Polaris has also contacted all identified owners.
Note: the recall was commenced in September 2018 and you may have heard from Polaris at that time.
