The Hazard!
The light has a tap-on (piggy-back) plug at its base which may not have the required earth protection.
If a Class 1 appliance such as a Kettle or a Power Tool is connected to the plug and independently develops a fault it may not earth properly. This could increase the risk of an electric shock.
What to do...
Stop using the light and return it to your nearest Mitre 10 Mega store, Mitre 10 or Hammer Hardware store for a full refund.
