The Hazard!

The spline may wear in the steering shaft connection, which could lead to free play in steering, the possibility of eventual steering loss and an increased risk of an accident.

What to do...

Return the vehicle to your Kawasaki dealer when it becomes possible following the Covid-19 level 4 lockdown, upgrade kits will be supplied and fitted by your Kawasaki dealer free of charge. In the mean time, if you need to continue using your vehicle - check the steering wheel for free play; If the free play (the amount of movement on the outside of the steering wheel before the front wheels begin to turn) is more than 20mm it is possible that there is wear on the spline and you should therefore stop using the vehicle until it has been inspected and/or repaired.
