All model year 2013 through 2016 Cannondale CAADX Cyclocross bicycles equipped with disc brakes. Potentially affected bicycles sold from August 2012 to December 2017 These CAADX bicycles were sold in a variety of component specifications and colours. Inspect your bicycle to determine if it is affected by this recall by confirming: 1. The bicycle has a prominent “CAADX” marking on the top tube or other location. 2. The bicycle has disc brakes. 3. The inside of each fork leg has a large “ULTRAX” marking. 4. The cable connected to the front disc brake is completely outside the fork blade. (Later models, not subject to recall, have the cable connected to the front disc brake routed internally, inside the structure of the fork blade.) The Hazard!
The fork can fracture, which can allow the wheel to detach from the bicycle during use, posing a fall or crash hazard.
What to do...
Stop using the bicycle and contact your nearest Cannondale dealer for a free repair.
Cannondale dealers will replace the bicycle’s fork with a full carbon fiber replacement fork.
