The Hazard!
Poor weld penetration on 10" Electric brakes welded to axles fitted on caravans and camper trailers.
Should the weld fail, the trailer braking effectiveness will be affected and this may cause an accident and potential injury.
What to do...
All owners have been contacted by mail and should call their nearest dealer and book a van in for inspection.
Please contact AL-KO if you believe you may have an affected model.
Faulty units will have a replacement axle supplied and fitted at no cost.
