Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) have alerted Penske Commercial Vehicles that certain Heavy Duty Engine Platform DD15TC EPA07/ADR80/03 engines sold in Australia and New Zealand will require replacement of the two high pressure fuel rail feed lines and supporting hardware from the high pressure fuel pump to the fuel rail. A small number of vehicles have experienced a leak from the high pressure fuel rail feed lines and your vehicle is within the affected range of engines identified. A fuel leak of this type in the presence of a heat source creates a risk of fire and/or personal injury. Given this, it has been determined that the high pressure fuel lines for this vehicle will require replacement. Parts are now available for authorised dealers to order. Advance arrangements are needed for this recall. Contact your authorised dealer to arrange to have your vehicle(s) modified and to have parts ordered prior to your arrival. The procedure will be completed at no cost to you when performed by an Authorised Detroit Diesel Repair Facility. Replacing the appropriate parts will prevent performance issues that may result in customer dissatisfaction. The scheduled time for this repair is approximately 2.1 hours or less.
