The Hazard!
The drawbar of the trailer may break where the drawbar bolts to the chassis, leading to failure and detachment of the drawbar. Heavy or frequent commercial use may accelerate failure.
What to do...
Check the identification plate on the side of the trailer to confirm the model number. If affected, stop using the trailer in a loaded capacity immediately. Contact Bunnings customer service centre on 0800 561 109. Please note that NZTA-appointed inspectors have been instructed to not issue WOFs on affected models until the drawbar is replaced.
