Toyota 86, GT86, Model years 2012-2015

For subject vehicles, under certain conditions vibrations of the EPS wire harness may cause terminal oxidation in the wire harness connecter. If the wire harness terminal contacts this oxidization a high resistance in the connecter may occur, causing the EPS warning light to activate and the steering assist to be disabled. This will result in an increase in steering effort required to turn the steering wheel. Only certain vehicles in the model year are involved.
