The Hazard!
Nissan New Zealand is advising the Dealer network of the requirement to conduct a Recall Campaign affecting 2008- 2010 Nissan D40 Navara vehicles built in Thailand, where the driver airbag inflator requires replacing.
These actions supplement the 2013, 2014 and 2015 recalls to replace Takata front passenger airbag inflators in certain Nissan vehicles.
What to do...
Owners of affected vehicles within the affected VIN range will be advised by letter to contact their Nissan Dealer to arrange for rectification of their vehicle.
The rectification involves replacing the driver airbag module. The replacement is at no cost to the customer.
