The screw/bolt in the range group catch bolts may come loose. Depending on the extent of the damage, this would result in shifting up to failure of the gearshift system. Transmission lock-up is not possible. Loss of shifting capability during vehicle operation leads to a lack of drive and to coasting of the vehicle.
