The Hazard!
This Voluntary Recall action is being undertaken as McLaren Automotive have identified that the Noise, Vibration and Harshness foam padding positioned on the underside of the fuel tank can, in some instances, trap corrosive moisture which can, over time, cause corrosion of the fuel tank. If not addressed, the corrosion may cause fuel vapour or fluid to leak from the fuel tank which could increase the risk of a thermal incident.
What to do...
Owners of effected vehicles are to be contacted and arrangements made for their vehicle to be brought into their McLaren Authorised Retailer for the necessary remedial action to be carried out as soon as reasonably practical.
