Sold at the Rock Shop and KBB stores from March 2016 to November 2019 Line 6 Relay G10, G10S, and G10T Digital Wireless Guitar System (G10 Family of Products) that allows an electric guitar to be connected wirelessly to an amplifier. The system consists of a transmitter, a receiver, and a charger. The receivers have both a 1/4” and XLR output to connect to an amplifier or other audio equipment. The Relay G10T transmitter is stamped “Relay G10” Note: In addition to the firmware upgrade, the supplier is recalling a specific type of charging cable, but none of this type of cable were sold to consumers in New Zealand.
The Hazard!
The lithium-ion battery can overheat and the battery cover can separate with force, posing fire and injury hazards.
What to do...
Stop using the G10 Wireless Guitar System and install the firmware update (see supplier website below) that stops the battery from overheating.
Once the Firmware update is installed you can continue to use the system.
