The Hazard!

Involved vehicles are equipped with a brake hold system which, upon activation, maintains brake application after the brake pedal has been depressed to keep the vehicle stopped when the transmission is left in a gear other than Park and œReverse. Due to improper programming of the brake control module, there is a possibility that the parking brake may not be set automatically when the system is deactivated by certain conditions as previously described. If this occurs, and the transmission is left in a gear other than œPark, the vehicle could creep forward or backward, increasing the risk of a crash.
