Klein Tools NCVT-1 Non Contact Voltage Tester

The recall covers NCVT-1 products bearing a date code ending in H7, which can be found on the side of the NCVT-1 opposite the clip (see image above).

The Hazard!

The tip of the tool can be lit up as 'green' when ithe on/off button is depressed making the user beleive that the tool is “ready to detect voltage,” when it is not yet safe (during the power on or power off cycle).

If the NCVT tool is used to detect voltage when it is not ready and safe, it could result in the user recieving an electric shock.

What to do...

Stop using the voltage tester and contact Klein Tools New Zealand to organise a replacement.
