On certain diesel engined vehicles there is a possibility that the Engine Control Module software may not adequately detect an overheat condition. In extreme cases, an overheated engine can result in a breach of the oil sump leading to loss of the engine oil. In such cases, engine oil may come into contact with the vehicles exhaust system, and/or the road surface, creating a potential hazard for other road users. Your Dealer will update the Engine Control Module software.
