Supplied by BRAKE & TRANSMISSION NZ and RACE BRAKES NZ from September 2013 to July 2014 The impacted rotors are identifiable by part numbers DBA4418, DBA4418S or DBA4418XS and date codes including and between June 2013 (01/06/13) and May 2014 (31/05/14). The rotors are designed for fitment on the front axle of selected 4 door Mitsubishi Lancer EVO model vehicles from 1998 to 2007. Please note this recall is limited to DBA4418 disc rotors with dates from June 2013 to May 2014 and does not impact any other rotor applications or product with dates outside this range.

The Hazard!

The disc rotors may crack or separate if they experience thermal shock, typically associated with motorsport racing. If the disc rotors crack it could increase the risk of an accident. A vehicle driven under normal conditions is unlikely to experience heat shock or any associated failure.

What to do...

If you have an affected range 2014 DBA4418 rotor, contact NZ Gaskets to organise a refund or replacement -plus reasonable labour costs for the inspection and replacement of new rotors. Anyone with a 2014 DBA4418 rotor should not participate in any racing activity or track days until a replacement rotor is installed.
